Harmony Slater – Opening the Hips While Protecting the Knees is a 90 minute workshop.
Learning to protect the knees is an essential component to safely opening the hips. Having “open hips” makes many asanas more accessible. Even something as challenging as Ekapada Sirshasana or putting your “leg behind your head” can become enjoyable.
This session will explore several different ways of opening the hips using the Primary and Intermediate series, and will also introduce different techniques to enhance ‘hip-opening’ outside of the practice.
