4-Week Course – Developmental Pranayama, Alignment of the Koshas and Purification of Surya and Chandra Nadis with Phillip Xerri
18th October Developmental Pranayama: Further rhythms in the process of holistic development and supporting practices for Savitri Pranayama
25th October Alignment of the Koshas: Working towards a harmonisation of the Koshas with Savitri Pranayama and the conscious movement of Prana and Apana within the body.
1st November Nadi Shodanah: Initial ‘clearing’ practices, preliminary practices and attunement rhythms. There will also be a focus on some of the calming and relaxation practices of Nadi Shodanah.
8th November Nadi Shodanah: Full practice – the purification of Surya and Chandra Nadi. This is achieved with the use of a particular rhythm, combined with Jalandhara and Mula Bandha. There will be an introduction to the general use of bandhas in Pranayama.
Philip Xerri is one of the leading authorities on Pranayama in the UK. He has been teaching Yoga & Pranayama for over 30 years and over that time he has established a coherent system of Pranayama practice that is accessible to all.
Students must have either completed one of Phillip’s part 1 yoga courses, or attend the workshop on the 11th of October above.
